IPCPR 2016: Topper The First Family of Connecticut Tobacco

When you think of Connecticut Broadleaf, unless you are a historian of tobacco you might think Jonathan Drew or even Pete Johnson. While they made the tobacco trendy, the first family of Connecticut tobacco is the Topper Family.

For the last 120 years the family has made cigars rich with tobacco grown here in the United States with the majority of it coming from the Connecticut River Valley. Last summer, we broadcast live from a Broadleaf farm that supplies tobacco to names you know, and a name you should know, Topper.

We caught up with our friend, Chris Topper who tells us about a new cigar coming out that celebrates four generations of his family and I know it is on my list to try.

The Cigar Authority 2016 IPCPR Coverage is sponsored by 2guyscigars.com which carries Topper.
