Law | Livermore, Ca Eyes Smoking Ban Downtown

Walking down the street enjoying a cigar is something that could become a thing of the past in down Livermore if the City Council has their way. The new measure would create a no smoking area that covers downtown Livermore and will be decided with a vote tonight.

The new measure would create smoking areas in parking lots in what the city is calling a way to promote the downtown as an attractive destination.

The measure would include all tobacco products and e-cigarettes.

The Livermore City Council meets tonight beginning at 7 p.m. at City Council Chambers located at 3575 Pacific Ave.
Livermore is home to 85,000 residents over 25.176 square miles and was established in 1869.
