when are we going to talk about HUMAN RIGHTS abuses in the countries that produce the tobacco products we purchase and consume ?
has anyone ever talked about boycotting those countries ?
IMHO if we are ignorant of those issues we should learn and if we already know about those issues and ignore them we should be embarrassed

This is a great topic to discuss Frank. We do talk about never smoking Cuban Cigars because of how the citizens of Cuba are treated. As far as I know one of the best jobs to have in a third world country is one at a cigar factory. The wages are better, the employees are taken care of, and the work environment is the safest. To not buy the products would hurt these hard working and highly skilled people more than the country it self. Am I missing something?

that is the downside of a boycott (to financially harm the ones that could least afford to be without a J O B)
on the other hand i seems so much was done to help coffee farmers and their workers ONCE the issue was highlighted of their plight
