Law | Ghana Bans Public Smoking

The Food and Drug Authority (FDA) of Ghana will begin enforcing the ban on public smoking. According to the Agency it will begin to enforce the Public Health Act 2002, Act 851 (6). According to Regulatory Office Daniel NTI if a person is caught smoking in public it will carry a fine of 750 unit and up to 3 years in jail. As we reported a few weeks back, the island state of Tasmania which is part of the Commonwealth of Australia is looking to end tobacco use. This Wednesday a bill will be read before the Parliament which would make it illegal to purchase tobacco if born after the year 2000. Law | Teaneck, NJ Raises Smoking Age To 21

This week the township of Teaneck became the latest to join a growing movement across the country. On Wednesday, November 12th, 2015 Teaneck, NJ became the third township in the stage to raise the age to purchase tobacco from 19 to 21.
