The Firecracker Corojo

In 2007 David Garofalo had an idea to create a cigar that had a fuse attached to it and call it the Firecracker. The first version of the cigar was offered to Pete Johnson of Tatuaje who didn’t like the idea and passed. The idea was then pitched to Don Pepin Garcia who though Dave was “loco” but agreed to do the cigar anyway as an exclusive to Two Guys Smoke Shop. Eventually the production […]

American Barrel-Aged (Master-Built Series) by David Garofalo

Today is not only Flag Day here in America, but it’s also National Bourbon Day so I thought I’d write a review of a very special cigar that is even more special to me.       Camacho is a cigar brand that changed the cigar industry almost 20 years ago. It was Camacho that re-introduced the prized Corojo seeds that had not used in Cuba any longer due to its low yield. It was […]

Las Calaveras EL 2015 LC 46

The Las Calaveras Edicion Limitada was perhaps the cigar of the year for limited editions last year. As a result, the EL 2015 is highly sought after and will be neck and neck with the Tatuaje M80 rerelease for the top limited edition release for 2015. The cigar was so popular that many retailers had their initial orders cut in order to fulfill the demand across the board. This year some things have changed. The […]

Nestor Miranda Collection One Life Edition Danno 2015 Maduro

The Nestor Miranda Collection One Life Edition Danno 2015 might just be the longest name for a cigar in the industry today. Announced earlier this week in a press release, the cigar is limited to 1,000 boxes of each wrapper (Connecticut, Habano, Maduro)  and features a tweaked blend from the regular production Nestor Miranda Collection. The cigar has sentimental value to the Miranda family as it pays tribute to the son of Nestor and Mariana […]
