ICPRP 2016: What’s New From Rocky Patel

Gianna caught up with Max Bichler and Rocky Patel himself at the 2016 IPCPR in Las Vegas where The Cigar Authority was given access to some of the new cigars that will be showing up in humidors soon.

The Special Edition is a cigar from Rocky that will only be available at Brick & Mortars and will come packaged in 10 count boxes. It’s made in Nicaragua and is expected to carry an MSRP of $10 to $11.50.

The second cigar, Rocky takes the time to tell us about personally and it features a cigar that was blended for Rocky’s 55th birthday. It’s available in 4 different lengths, each being a 55 ring gauge with a tapered head and foot. The 4 x 55 Corona (MSRP: $9.25), 5.5 x 55 Robusto ($10.30), 6. x 55 ($11.40) and Titan 8 x 55 ($13.50).

Lastly for the first time ever Rocky Patel will be making a cigar in the Dominican Republic. The Dark Dominican will be rolled at General Cigar Co’s factory in Santiago. Now before the rumour mill acts up, this isn’t the first time that Rocky has had a cigar made by General as the Vintage 1990, 1992 and 1999 are rolled by STG in Danli, Honduras. The Dark Dominican will be available in 4 sizes 5.5 x 42 ($9.05), 5.5 x 50 ($9.55), 7 x 49 ($9.95) and 6 x 54 ($10.00)
