It’s the end of an era. The IPCPR no longer exists and next year it will have a new name. The reasons behind the name change, perhaps valid. It is said that some on Capitol Hill identified the name with its last three letters, CPR. However, the future of the trade show is in question.
We walked the trade show and sampled a lot of new cigars trying to figure out what to carry. It is, after all a business networking event. However, a lot of manufacturers aren’t sure what next year will bring or if they will commit to the new show format. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered.
This weekend on The Cigar Authority we will have the skinny on what we saw, what we heard and what we thought of the 2019 IPCPR Trade Show.
In a sense, the IPCPR is dead. Will a Phoenix rise from the ashes or will it be a barren wasteland?
