This week 2 Guys Smoke Shop was named one of the unlucky 13 retailers to get the dress boxes of the Monster series. I’ll be honest with you, I knew the onslaught of phone calls that would follow. I was however shocked at how many of the callers lacked class or dignity. The first person who called to ask about the boxes told us “maybe you guys should get your act together” when we were caught slightly off guard. The shop decided to do a lottery system, most were cool with it, some weren’t and I’ll leave it at that. 31 boxes and over 100 phone calls, plus store regulars, its impossible to make everyone happy. With all that said and done we are honored to be chosen as one of the Unlucky 13.
We had 3 events this week with Tom Lazuka and Lauren Ferraro featuring Asylum Cigars. Tom Lazuka is that guy you want to sit at a bar with and shoot the shit. Being from Detroit, he isn’t your typical cigar celebrity and that is what makes the experience enjoyable. There is a common bond to be found other than cigars, even if he is a fan of the Tigers. You can check out what he had to say on yesterdays podcast where he filled us in about some new cigars coming out.
It’s fall and we are two episodes in to the shows I was most anticipating. The first was the return of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D which sadly after two episodes I see it being canceled this year as it just seems to lack the writing needed to keep it going.
The other show is Gotham, which I am enjoying but it is full of inaccuracies. Posion Ivy was introduced as a young person, but the original Poison Ivy was from Seattle not Gotham. However, inaccuracy aside I am enjoying the potential of the show which would have been better off as a stand alone instead of including characters that would become a part of the Batman universe.
Next week Pete Johnson from Tatuaje Cigars will be in Seabrook the early part of Saturday with a Dinner in Nashua in the evening.
