Legislation Week In Review XVI

Each week we share some of the news that comes across our desk about upcoming legislation.. In a quiet week we have stories from Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the country of Uganda.

Pennsylvania – In Scranton, smoking outside the downtown bus station will soon be banned as The County of Lackawanna Transit System board voted to ban smoking outside the Lackawanna Transit Center at its meeting Tuesday via MassTransitMag https://www.masstransitmag.com/news/12209613/brief-colts-bans-smoking-outside-transit-center

West Virginia – The West Virginia State Senate passed a measure that will raise the tobacco tax on OTP (Other Tobacco Products). Uganda – In 2014 the country signed their own Tobacco Control Act and this week it became illegal to smoke in public. Violators could face up to 5 months in prison via The Monitor https://allafrica.com/stories/201605180074.html
