15 years ago, Don Pepin Garcia opened his cigar factory in Little Havana, a section of Miami that is home to a large Cuban population. From his small storefront he would begin the steps at building an empire for him and his family. To celebrate, the company that is now based in Doral, another section of Miami with a factory in Nicaragua has released a cigar that is limited to just 2,000 boxes of 14. […]

Arturo Fuente Magnum R44 Cigar Review

The Arturo Fuente Magnum R44 isn’t a cigar you’ll find online for sale as Fuente has a strict policy about this stick only being available inside a brick & mortar. This is something I applaud as I have always preached to support your brick & mortar. According to the official website for Fuente Cigars the wrappers used on this line are grown in Ecuador and aged for nearly a decade. How does that translate to […]

E.P. Carrilo La Historia Regalias d’ Celia Piramides Cigar Review

While I know we just reviewed an EPC cigar on Friday, I am opting to review another one today. The EPC La Historia was released in 2014 by Ernesto Perez Carrillo. If you don’t know the name, you should as he created La Gloria Cubana from a small factory in Miami, Florida back in 1990. In 1999, he would sell his business to General cigar before leaving them in 2009 and starting up EPC Cigar […]

E.P. Carrillo Inch 58 Maduro Cigar Review

The ring gauge of a cigar is based on 64ths of an inch. So, 50 is 50/ 64, 52 is 52/64 and so on. So, with 3 sizes in the line all bordering on the inch mark, I guess the name only made sense. Larger ring gauges were at first thought to be a novelty but they grew in popularity much to my own personal dismay. Today we light up the E.P. Carrillo Inch and […]

On this weekend’s show we will welcome back host David Garofalo from the Tobacconist Association of America meetings that just concluded in La Romana, Dominican Republic. One of the items we found out while he was down there was that the La Flor Dominicana TAA 50th Cigar will be based on the Oro blend, however the filler will contained Criollo ’99 under the Nicaraguan Sun Grown Habano wrapper. It’s been a long time since I […]

Will these too become a highly sought after collectible? Here are our thoughts on this highly anticipated stick. Cigar Review: Davidoff Selección 702 Limited Edition Wrapper: Ecuador Habano […]

La Gianna Maduro Toro Cigar Review

La Gianna is cigar named after the daughter of our own David Garofalo and today we light up the Maduro version. It’s a classic Maduro built around sweetness versus the modern Maduro which is built against strength. Cigar: La Gianna Maduro Wrapper: Ecuador Binder: Honduras Filler: Honduras Length: 6″ Ring Gauge: 54 Size: Toro The Look: The wrapper is evenly colored and milk chocolate in color. There are some creases from the veins and the seams are visible on the roll. The wrapper has […]
