With many retailers and consumers have a hard time getting their hands on Andalusian Bull, La Flor Dominican issued a statement from Ines & Litto Gomez. The statement reads,
“We are humbled and honored to be selected as Cigar Aficionado’s #1 Cigar of 2016. This is an incredible accomplishment that would not have been possible without your continued support of our premium cigars over the past twenty-three years. La Flor Dominicana would not have the reputation it has in the industry without you, and for this we are thankful! The goal of this message is to provide you with an update on the current status of our production and the direction we are headed in regard to the Andalusian Bull and our production as a whole.
It is nearly impossible to anticipate receiving the news of Cigar of the Year and to plan for the resulting increase in demand. Our production levels at the time of the announcement were limited because the Andalusian Bull is truly a uniquely shaped and sized cigar that requires the attention of a small group of very skilled rollers, who work with very specific tobaccos. For the time being, the production levels of the Andalusian Bull will stay the same to maintain the integrity of the blend and the quality that allowed for this cigar to become Cigar of the Year.
The following is our promise to you, the retailer, and to your customers. Measures to ensure increased future production of high-demand products are already being implemented, with the creation of additional molds, proper training, and additional allotments of rollers. The implementation of these measures will be closely supervised and be done in the safest manner possible to maintain the integrity of our products as production increases. These processes are impossible to expedite, and are vital to us being able to offer premium cigars that are of the highest level of consistency and quality, for which La Flor Dominicana is known. We are greatly appreciative of your support during this transition and throughout our many years of business. As always, we guarantee the quality and consistency of every cigar, and assure you that this expansion will allow us to aid you in better serving your customers in the future.
