Chalk up one for cigar smokers, as a smoking ban at the Win River Casino in Redding, California ends today. The ban which went into effect a year ago, has been lifted.
Initially put in place to protect customers and employees, it was the only urban casino to put forth such a ban. Now one year later, casino officials have said that many customers have requested the ban be lifted .
Smoking will be allowed on the gaming floor which makes up one-third of the casino facility while the rest of the building remains smoke free.
Redding, California is home to 90,000 residents over 61,175 square miles and was founded in 1887.
