This weekend La Flor Domincana will launch the TAA 48 cigar at a series of events to take place at Two Guys Smoke Shop in New Hampshire.
The series of events will kick off with Litto Gomez at their Seabrook, NH location before making its way to Nashua, NH on Friday and Salem, NH on Saturday with both events featuring sales representative John Gallogy II and VP of Sales, Jonathan Carney who will be a featured guest on The Cigar Authority podcast from the Salem event.
The TAA 48th measures 6 x 54 and was selected by members of the Tobacconist Association of America. At their signature event in March retailers were presented with three sizes to choose from. Retailers then placed their orders based on size, and the one with the most orders would go into production.
The cigar which is limited to 1,000 boxes of 25 will be joined by a 10 count box of specially crafted Maduro version that will be available only at in-store events dubbed by LFD as TAA Celebration Experiences. The experience will allow the consumer to embark on a visual journey of tobacco, cigar making and the history of the industry.
According to VP of Sales, Jonathan Carney only a maximum of 400 boxes of the maduro version have been made making them a high demand item. Carney went on to say, “The TAA 48 is a very complex cigar and we are very excited for it to arrive at retailers. Also we are honored to be partnering with the retail members of the TAA across the country to bring the quality, integrity, and service of the TAA directly to premium cigar smokers nationwide through the TAA 48 Celebration Experience.”
The La Flor Dominicana is expected to reach other members of the TAA next week.
