After a decade of presence in Nicaragua, Canada, and China and consistent growth in Italy and the United States, Mombacho Cigars announced that their puros will now be distributed in Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, and Australia. The new deals cover both of their current brands: the five-size Tierra Volcan line and Liga Maestro’s five-size line.
“We are proud to announce the new partnerships as we continue pursuing our vision of truly being a global company” said Claudio Sgroi, President and Master Blender at Mombacho Cigars. “This year we are celebrating our 10th Anniversary and expansion is the future. Our successful brands now span across nine countries and four continents,” Sgroi added.
Mombacho Cigars introduction to Europe started in 2013, when they launched Liga Maestro, a Nicaraguan Puro created exclusively for the Italian premium cigar market. “We are excited to welcome other European distributors to the network” said Stefano Bertini, from B.L.S. s.l.r., Italian importer and distributor of Mombacho Cigars, “we have had great success in Italy and look forward to its wider availability across the continent.”
The Mombacho Liga Maestro is now in regular production and available in the United States and Canada in Petit Corona, Robusto, Toro, Corona Extra and Double Corona sizes made with tobaccos from Condega and Jalapa and featuring a new black and gold label.
Mombacho Cigars expects to ship the initial orders to the new markets in Europe and Australia from their factory in Nicaragua prior to the IPCPR convention and trade show this July where they will also release the 10th Anniversary Mombacho Magnifico Cigar for retail. The Magnifco is a limited edition cigar available in 10-count boxes in only one size, a 6 1⁄4 x 52 with a pigtail cap. Rolled by one of Casa Favilli’s most experienced rolling pairs, the complete production is being capped at 5000 cigars. A limited number of boxes will also be made available to the new markets.
