During the annual IPCPR 2014 tradeshow in Las Vegas we were approached by several organizations that sponsor or cater to cigar events and the packaging segment of the cigar market here in the U.S. and worldwide. A common complaint amongst these organizations was that in all their packaging of cigars and accessories for sale or distribution at events they were not allowed to place obvious self-promotional items in the packaging (flyers, postcards, business cards) and the most common accessories (matches, cutters and such) were highly discouraged do to security/safety and cigar freshness concerns (no one wants cigars with crushed match heads in the bag). Our Classic cedar spill was too long and the price point was too high. Could we come up with something to fit this segment of the market at a better price?
Our solution
We took the better part of 5 months to develop a new design that provides all the benefits of our Classic cedar spill when lighting a cigar or pipe but still allows for branding and a better fit. These new spills are 7 inches long with a maximum brandable handle area of 1 inch by .59 of an inch. This new design allows organizations to place their name, web address, hashtag, email or logo on the spill handle and self promote while still providing a traditional cigar accessory that is safe and a value add to the cigar smoking public.

We have created hundreds of thousands of our Classic cedar spills for customers and tobacconist worldwide. Additionally we have created custom and copyrighted spill designs and shapes for cigar makers, organizations and individuals who desire a unique and custom smoking experience. These new Spills by the Bunch allow us to extend our market protection to organizations that are looking to extend their brand, increase the value of their catering service and do so in a cost-effective substantive manner.
Spills by the Bunch Availability
Spills by the Bunch are available at shop.cedarspills.com. These spills are sold in quantities of 1,000+ for $200.00 USD per unit. We say 1,000+ as our manufacturing process yields some overage and being quality control fanatics we discard any less-than-perfect spills and as such often provide our customers a bit more than 1,000 cedar spills. These spills with imagery on the handle and the fire icon on the foot are $0.20 USD per spill and can be bundled in units as small as 50-60 and are shipped loose, no box packaging provided.
