While we all know that the IPCPR Convention will be in New Orleans in 2015, and that it is widely believed that in 2016 it will return to Las Vegas the door has been opened for the convention to head back to Chicago.
A new law would allow the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont (Just outside of Chicago) to hold a tobacco trade show.
The Governor of Illinois Pat Quinn signed the law on Friday. The current exemption expires in October 2015, and it will most likely be a show for C-Stores (Convenience Stores) a pipe show.
The new law will let show attendees sample the products indoors, which was illegal prior to the signing of the new law, leaving a possibility that IPCPR could return to the midway sometime in the future.
