The province of Ontario which the capital Ottawa is located, will soon be home to the most restrictive tobacco rules in Canada. A new program from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will ban smoking on some of the beaches at Presque Isle State Park. The new regulations are part of the Clean Air Beach Program and starting May 1 it will be illegal to smoker on Barracks Beach and Beach 11. The ban includes cigarettes, cigars, pipes and e-cigarettes. Presque Isle is on Lake Erie and encompasses 3,112.10 acres
A bill that would of banned smoking in cars if a person under the age of 18 was present has failed in the state senate of Illinois. According to the City Council of Prior Lake, Minnesota smoking lounges are prohibited in the city of Prior Lake. The council which adopted an ordinance over the last couple of meetings now requires businesses that sell tobacco-related products to obtain a license to do so.
