The City Council of Santa Rosa, California will be holding a hearing this afternoon regarding the ability to smoke if you live in an apartment building or multi-family complex. The current draft of an ordinance would make it Illegal to smoke indoors if you do not live in a free-standing building. In August, 2014 the city enacted various smoking bans and announced support for the above measure. Santa Clara, CA is home to 120,000 residents […]
The town of Dobson is about to open up its first public park, and visions of taking your dog for a walk while enjoying a cigar is sure to me in the mind of at least a couple of residents. However, you can do neither. The Board of Commissioners passed the parks and recreation ordinance last week. The measures go into effect when the park officially opens in a couple of weeks. Dobson is home […]
Following the Shocking Conclusion of David’s trip to Cuba the mail call was working overtime. The amount of letters we received were on an epic level. Today we go through some of those emails in a Rapid Fire Highlight segment. We are also joined by Jarrid Trudeau from Kristoff Cigars where we talk a little about Kristoff, and play a little Total Recall with Jarrid who allegedly has one of those memories where he can […]
A few weeks ago on The Cigar Authority we spoke about cigars that come in under $5.00 and the Perla P does just that. However, today I opted to review the Toro, which is also known as the Perla G. I first met Fred Rewey I believe at the Chattanooga Tweetup, and it was also my first introduction to the Nomad line. Perhaps one of the hardest working individuals in the industry he has built his cigar brand by pounding the pavement and hitting up store after to store. He is also one of the funniest twitter and Facebook accounts to follow as his don’t take anything to serious persona always has a wiseass comment […]
This week Padron mailed out a letter to retailers informing them of an increase in operating costs in both the United States and Nicaragua which would result in a price increase on their cigars. While no percentage was announced in the letter, the price sheet appears to reflect a $0.20 to $0.30 cent increase per cigar on the retail level.
