Before IPCPR last year all hell broke loose for Cubanacan Cigars and the Mederos Family. Hirochi Robaina left for La Palina, where he would last a short time. The Mederos Family also lost the factory they did business with and a lawsuit was later filed by Omar González-Alemán and his company Soneros Cigars Zone, Inc.
Now word comes out from Frank Herrera that the lawsuit has been settled. According to Herrera, “The parties have amicably resolved all matters between them. Each side has waived any and all claims against each other with no payments being made to either party. The parties wish each other the best of success in their future endeavors. With the uncertainty surrounding the issues related to the FDA regulations, the parties deem settlement to be in their respective best interests.“
