Aladino Corojo Reserva

Aladino Corojo Reserva Toro Cigar Review

The Aladino Corojo Reserva Toro is a creation of Julio and Justo Eiroa, hailing from the renowned JRE Tobacco farm. This limited-production cigar evokes a nostalgic charm with its vintage-style band and box, reminiscent of the golden era of Honduran tobacco. Crafted entirely from 100% Authentic Corojo tobacco, it promises a unique experience for aficionados.

Upon inspection, the cigar boasts a milk chocolate brown hue akin to a tootsie roll. Its smooth texture, complemented by an oily sheen, is a testament to its superior craftsmanship. While a few veins are visible, they do not detract from its overall allure. In fact, one reviewer immediately identified the cigar as an Aladino purely based on its appearance—an impressive testament to its iconic look.

As the cigar is lit, a symphony of flavors begins. Woodiness and dark chocolate dominate, with hints of dried fruit and baker’s spice weaving through. A whisper of white pepper and lemon zest adds complexity, accompanied by a distinct note of “eucalyptus from drying racks…Corojo, <kazoo interlude> Aladino Corojo..” said one reviewer who go it right. This has to be a Mr. J Thing?

The woodiness persists but is now joined by rich leather and a salty nuance, akin to peanut shells. The chocolate sweetness lingers, creating a delightful contrast with the tangy lemon zest that remains present. This segment delivers a harmonious balance of savory and sweet flavors.

The wood notes mellow, allowing other flavors to take the spotlight. The strength ramps up, introducing bold zesty barbecue sauce flavors. White pepper retains its presence, while leather becomes more pronounced as the lemon zest fades into the background. This final act brings depth and a satisfying close to the experience.

The Aladino Corojo Reserva Toro offers intriguing and consistent flavors from start to finish. Its wrapper is stunning, construction flawless, and the burn impressively clean. With a tight ash and an enjoyable smoking time of about 1 hour and 15 minutes, this cigar is a relaxing journey worth repeating. As one reviewer put it: “There are two types of cigar smokers, those who have tried JRE Corojo, and those who are missing out.”  Whether you’re a seasoned aficionado or new to Corojo, this cigar is a must-try. Its craftsmanship and flavor complexity make it a standout in any humidor.
