Davis, CA Ban Smoking Downtown

This week the City Council in Davis, California which is located just outside of Sacramento voted to ban smoking in parks as well as the main plaza downtown. The measure that was unanimously approved also requires smokers to stay at least 20 feet from eating areas, public entryways as well as other areas. Dunbarton Tobacco To Ship Initial Orders November 1st

According to their Facebook page, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust will ship their initial orders to select purveyors on the estimated date of November 1st, 2015. According to the posting all orders will be truncated though retailers will receive an equitable share of their first order with the balance to be fulfilled ASAP. Holly Springs, MS Smoking Ban Passes

The Board of Aldermen in Holly Springs, Mississippi in a 3-2 vote passed an ordinance that bans smoking in buildings that are open to the public. The measure which passed despite opposition from local businesses includes restaurants retail stores and other commercial spaces. The law is set to go into effect in October, 2015.

New York State Bill Would Ban Smoking In Hotels

A new bill introduced by Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski (D-New City) would add hotel and motel room to a list of indoor smoking would be banned in the state of New York. Kearny, MO Bans All Public Indoor Smoking

On Monday night, the Kearny, Missouri Board of Alderman passed a smoking ban that prohibits smoking in all places that are publicly accessible. The measure was initially tied 2-2 united the Mayor of Kearny Bill Dane.
