Law | California Looking To Raise Tobacco Age

In California, Senator Ed Hernandez a Democrat from West Covina introduced legislation that would raise the smoking age in the state from 18 to 21. According to Hernandez who is an optometrist he has support for the bill from various health group, American Lung Association and the American Cancer Society. Law | Nebraska Bill To Reinstate Smoking Passes

The measure by Senator Tyson Larson of O’Neill that would exclude cigar shops from the 2008 Nebraska Clean Indoor Air Act has passed the General Affairs Committee by a vote of 7-0 today. The bill will now go before the full Nebraska Legislature where it will be debated and voted upon.
