Berryville, AR Moves Closer To Banning Park Smoking

Mayor Tim McKinney of Berryville who was booked in 2009 on DWI/Marijuana charges while in office where he has been since 1991 has said the Arkansas city is close to banning smoking in public parks according to a report in the Hometown Daily News.

Berryville which is located in the northern part of the state near the Missouri border had the first reading of the ordinance this past week at the City Council meeting. The move which would ban all smoking including cigars at any publicly funded park will now have two more hearings and it continues to pass it could take effect as soon as November.

The next hearing is scheduled for October 20.
