2024 sees the joining of a petit panetela format to the Davidoff Winston Churchill «The Late Hour Series» line-up. The brand had already introduced the medium-filler as a limited edition in 2020, which back then exceeded expectations. “I am very pleased that we can offer this special format to our aficionados permanently now”, says Edward Simon, CMO at Oettinger Davidoff. “We launch the Petit Panetela to give appreciators of the «The Late Hour Series» blend the opportunity for a shorter enjoyment with the same complexity in taste as the long-fillers Robusto, Toro and Churchill of the same line.”
Taste experience
The Petit Panetela’s easy draw, which is owed to the format, fills aficionados’ time beautifully for 15 minutes. Since there is a lesser amount of filler tobaccos in the smaller cigar, the overall experience is a tad lighter than that of its long-filler companions. At the start, pronounced notes of black coffee are complemented by leather and spice. The middle part of the cigar pleases with a beautiful development of deep undertones of leather which combine with chocolate and cream. It is here that the whisky cask aged Condega visus filler tobacco fully unfolds and enhances the sweetness and depth even further. For the grand finale of the Petit Panetela, intense aromas of black pepper and oak wood pair with distinct flavors of malt.
The Late Hour Petit Panatela will arrive in stores on January 18th.
