Davidoff Winston Churchill Toro

Davidoff Winston Churchill Toro Cigar Review

The Davidoff Winston Churchill Toro is a cigar that embodies the complexity and depth of the man it’s named after. Just as Winston Churchill navigated the various facets of life with charisma and determination, this cigar delivers a well-rounded experience, with an Ecuadorian wrapper, Mexican binder, & filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua. The result is a sophisticated and layered smoke that evolves beautifully from start to finish.

Upon first glance, the cigar presents itself with an inviting baseball glove-brown wrapper that has a reddish hue. The wrapper is well-rolled, boasting excellent construction and a smooth texture with some visible veins. The cigar feels well-packed in hand, showcasing Davidoff’s trademark quality craftsmanship.

Lighting up the first third, a wave of spice greets the palate, with a dusting of white pepper that immediately makes its presence known. Oak wood, caramel, and milk chocolate emerge, adding a touch of sweetness. As the smoke develops, a musty, earthy cellar note (Davidoff’s calling card flavor) becomes prominent, accompanied by floral hints and a subtle green bell pepper essence. A light touch of citrus rounds out the initial flavors, setting the stage for an intriguing progression.

In the second third, the spice mellows slightly, but white pepper remains a defining characteristic. A surprising yet delightful note of buttered blueberry pancakes introduces a fruity sweetness, while leather flavors gain strength. Chocolate-covered peanuts add a rich, nutty dimension, and the floral notes continue to linger in the background, maintaining balance in the profile.

Entering the final third, the cigar holds onto its sweetness and bread-like qualities, while the white pepper once again steps into the spotlight. A burst of cedar wood brings a dry, woody complexity, and the musty notes make a returnleading one STARS Reviewer to accurately guess this was a Davidoff. Leather remains in the background, rounding out the experience with a refined finish.

Overall, the Davidoff Winston Churchill Toro is an expertly crafted cigar that delivers a smooth yet complex experience. It has a perfect draw and burn, producing ample smoke throughout. The flavor transitions are well-executed, ensuring consistency without losing the element of surprise. Despite its lighter appearance, the cigar carries more strength than expected, making it a solid choice for seasoned cigar veterans.
