I have to tell you the more I write these articles the angrier I get at how this country is becoming much like the Gestapo of Germany.
On August 18th, the city council of Denmark City, home to just under 4,000 residence in South Carolina passed a law giving approval to the no-smoking ordinance with two changes. The initial ordinance stated the max fine would be $25, the new law states the fine can be up to $500 and 30 days in jail. The extent of the penalty will be decided by a judge.
According to the Mayor of Denmark site, similar ordinance have been adopted by 50 towns and municipalities in South Carolina.
