On May 7 at 9am the Town of Eastham will be holding a hearing on possible changes to the current Board of Health Tobacco Regulations. The draft of the changes will be discussed at a Board of Health Workshop set to take place at the Eastham Town Hall on 2500 State Highway.
The proposed changes will change the definition of tobacco products to include non-regulated nicotine delivery products, minimum cigar package size and price, the ban of flavored tobacco products, banning of self-service displays, and raise the tobacco purchase age from 18 to 21.
The Town sent out a letter to town tobacco permit holders and is available at the Eastham town website, https://www.eastham-ma.gov/Public_Documents/EasthamMA_BBoard/04FE41D6-000F8513
Should changes be proposed after the meeting, a public hearing will be held.
