Another city added the measure to prohibit smoking on the ballot of the mid-term elections. The city of Pooler, Georgia approved a smoking ban by an approval rate of 83%.
The Smoke Free-Air Ordinance act will prohibit smoking in enclosed public spaces including workplaces, outdoor arenas and stadiums. it also requires smokers to maintain a distance of at least 10 feet from entrances or windows.
Pooler, GA is home to 21,000 residents over 30.3 square miles and was founded in 1864.

UPDATE: On Monday night, the city council of Pooler, GA approved the ban. However, the language was changed to create an exemption for private clubs and pre-approved outdoor service areas.
