Law | Princeton, NJ To Propose Raising Tobacco Age to 21

Right in the backyard of the Tobacconist University, and home to Little Taste of Cuba, Jorge Luis Armenteros has a battle on his hands as Princeton, New Jersey seeks to become the fourth town in the state to prohibit sales  of tobacco products to anyone oder the age of 21.

The local Board of Health set to introduce the ordinance on March 26 and if it passes it will go into effect on April 1.

Violators of the measure would face fines that have yet to be determined if the measure passes and it would be enforced by Municipal Health Department.

Princeton, New Jersey is home to 28,000 residents over 18.363 square miles and was founded in 1683.
