In Rapid City, South Dakota Chuck Tinant; a member of the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board has brought forth the issue of a smoking ban.
The issue which was introduced to the subcommittee has begun the discussion phase before the seven member group of City Council appointees. The idea first came up from a non-resident of the city and former Advisory Board chair Jeff Schild.
One of the biggest obstacles the city faces is the enforcement of roughly 1,650 acres of parkland.
Rapid City, SD is home to 70,000 residents over 55.49 square miles and was founded in 1876.
