The city of Walla Walla in Washington State is holding a hearing on Tuesday that will introduce a measure of a complete smoking ban at parks.
The move comes after the city’s Parks & Recreation Department held a community hearing on the matter earlier this month and at the conclusion of this hearing a measure might be sent to the City Council for a vote.
Other options on the table for Tuesday’s meeting includes a partial ban near playgrounds, and keeping the current laws that allow smoking in public parks.
Walla Walla, WA is home to 32,000 residents over 12.84 square miles and was founded in 1869.
