A citizen advisory board in the city of Portland, Oregon has recommended to ban tobacco products including chewing tobacco in all city parks.
The Parks Board of Portland delivered its recommendation on Wednesday to Amanda Fritz, the current commissioner who plans to bring a ban to the City Council in January.
If the measure is approved Portland would join sixty-four other cities in the state.
Portland is home to 609,000 residents over 145.1 square miles and was founded in 1845.
