The Davidoff Flagship Store in Amsterdam opened with a new look
Basel/Amsterdam, April 29, 2015 – As of yesterday, Cigar lovers will be able to indulge in a completely unique and pleasurable experience in the heart of Amsterdam. The new Davidoff Flagship Store has been designed in accordance with the new globally standardized concept “Davidoff of Geneva – since 1911”, opening its doors on April 29, 2015.

The challenge in designing this unique cigar shop was to preserve the company’s history but to continue our mission to delight and surprise our customers worldwide by delivering unique brands and unrivalled retail experiences,” explained Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard, CEO of Oettinger Davidoff AG.
“This particular Flagship Store is very important in our points-of-sale network and marks a new trend in our establishment in the Benelux countries. The Davidoff Flagship Store boasts around 50 m2, which includes a 12 m2 walk-in humidor. A terrace in the backyard, full of ambience for customers to relax, will be open for aficionados in the summer. The 50 m2 cigar lounge on the second floor will be decorated with Engel Leonardo’s art work. Engel Leonardo is the second Dominican artist, who will be in residence at Red Gate Gallery Residency in Beijing, China in collaboration with Davidoff and its art program, the Davidoff Art Initiative.
This unique Flagship store with a full glass façade, overlooking the Design Museum, has been transformed into a retail space that is at once elegant, contemporary, and warm. Its exclusive interior design combines lush woods with natural materials in earthy tones that are reminiscent of the color of the cigars.
The new look and feel retells the Davidoff legacy and continues the tradition of creating an inspiring place where aficionados can find exceptionally crafted cigars and limited editions, including the Masterpiece Humidor Collection, created by renowned French artist Daniel Clément.
