News came out to today the Arturo Fuente Anejo line will be getting a new size. The figurado which measures 6 5/8 x 44 will begin to ship to retailers in mid-September.
The Fuente Anejo was originally crafted in 1998 when Hurricane George hit the Dominican Republic. Many of the curing barns owned by the Fuente family were damaged and the cigar was created when Carlos Fuente Jr. feared he would not have enough tobacco to release Opus X. The Anejo features a Connecticut Broadleaf over the same binder and filler as the aforementioned Opus X.
Early descriptions of the cigar have sounding similar in shape to a Hemmingway.
