NAT SHERMAN CELEBRATES 85th ANNIVERSARY
WITH DEBUT OF LIMITED EDITION CIGAR
NEW YORK, NY (April 21, 2015) – Nat Sherman, tobacconist to the world since 1930, is honored to debut the limited edition Nat Sherman 85th Anniversary cigar, celebrating over eight decades filled with passion and a steadfast commitment to impeccable customer service, employee loyalty and exceptional tobacco products. The Nat Sherman 85th Anniversary cigar will be available beginning late spring of 2015.
The Sherman family worked closely with the Quesada family in the Dominican Republic to bring this exclusive product to market. The Nat Sherman 85th Anniversary celebrates the Company’s incomparable past, while looking towards the future. Inspired by the façade and lobby of Nat Sherman’s original home at 1400 Broadway in New York City, the cigar box and band display custom art deco designs. The gorgeous hand-made cigar is a 6.5” x 54 vitola, blending Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, with a Nicaraguan binder and a Dominican wrapper, delivering a full-bodied, yet balanced flavor.
“Without the support, love and commitment of our devoted staff and faithful customers, we would not be celebrating such an incredible milestone,” said Joel Sherman, President & CEO of Nat Sherman. “As we look towards our Company’s bright future, I’m incredibly honored and privileged to see my father’s vision realized. It is with an overwhelming sense of pride that we witness Nat Sherman celebrated not only within the tobacco industry, but as a treasured part of New York City’s past and present.”
With only 2,500 boxes in production, the Nat Sherman 85th Anniversary cigar will be sold in boxes of ten, priced at $190 per box, before applicable taxes. Continuing the brand’s 85th Anniversary celebrations, Nat Sherman will host a series of intimate dinners across the country throughout 2015, in conjunction with Authorized Nat Sherman Tobacconists.
