The country of India is home to 12% of the worlds smokers and the potential for what is about to happen there should be alarming to the rest of the world. The Supreme Court of India has asked law enforcement to begin enforcing a law banning all tobacco products from the country.
The various states in India now have 4 weeks to comment. This is part of the same process that made smoking in public illegal back in 2008. India is home to 1.2 billion people and is considered a Democratic country.
