Darren Cioffi who owns Nashville, Tennessee based Principle cigars become the cigar-smoking champion by keeping a Montecristo No. 4 lit and smoking for 1 hour 55 minutes and 35 seconds. He beat the previous world record by 3 minutes and 25 seconds.
According to Marko Bilic, founder of Mareva Cigar Club, the host the competition, “Cioffi is the best of the best, a true cigar aficionado who lives this passion in every way. He is exactly what a real cigar aficionado should be: a great gentleman with a big smile and open heart.”
For becoming to only America to win the completion which consisted of 74 other competitors Mr. Cioffi received a trophy, a special edition bottle of Chivas and a Croatian cruise.
