Perdomo Cigars has begun shipping the second of three limited edition releases of the new Double Aged 12 Year Vintage.
The Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage is a blend of Perdomo’s finest and most cherished 12 year old fillers, binders, and wrappers. These rare tobaccos have been carefully bale aged for ten years and then barrel aged for an additional two years. Using a proprietary double-aging process, each leaf of seco, viso, ligero, binder, and wrapper is aged in charred, white oak bourbon barrels. This unique double-aging process ensures the perfect color, texture, aroma, and flavor in these tobaccos, making each cigar a well-balanced and full-flavored smoking experience.
The second release which is being shipped today, is a rich Nicaraguan Sun Grown wrapper, offering a smooth smoke with a spicy-sweet complexity, slight hints of oak and almond, with a long warming finish. The third release, scheduled for December 2014, will be in an oily Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper, offering a smooth smoke with a natural sweet complexity, hints of dark cocoa and coffee, with a rich, robust finish. Perdomo will release a limited production of only 240,000 cigars per wrapper, equaling only 2,500 total boxes per size. The 2014 release will only be offered to 250 of the finest retailers world-wide.
Created using the Perdomo family’s time-honored Cuban traditions, each Perdomo Double Aged 12 Year Vintage blend pairs extremely well with the finest Scotch whisky, bourbon, rum, cognac, port, red wine, craft beer, or coffee. Beautifully presented in stunning 24-count boxes, these blends will be offered in the following four sizes: Robusto (5 x 56) MSRP $10.00, Epicure (6 x 56) MSRP $10.50, Churchill (7 x 56) MSRP $11.00, and Gordo Extra (6 1/2 x 60) MSRP $11.50 (excluding state and local taxes).
