This past weekend Drew Estate held its annual Barn Smoker in the Connecticut River Valley at a farm that grows tobacco for use in their Liga Privada lines. Last month, the FDA issued a press release that changed the date product could stay on the shelves that was not FDA approved. The date changed from August 8, 2018 to August 8th, 2021. The La Aurora 1987 Connecticut is part of the time capsule series from the first cigar factory of the Dominican Republic. The cigar joins the 1903 Cameroon and 1962 Corojo and each year represents when La Aurora first used the wrapper in their storied history.
