Altria Group Acquires Nat Sherman

Altria Group, Inc. today announced that it has acquired the privately-held Sherman Group Holdings, LLC and its subsidiaries (Nat Sherman). Nat Sherman sells super-premium cigarettes and premium cigars, and joins Philip Morris USA Inc. and John Middleton Co. as part of Altria’s smokeable products segment. New Hampshire Representatives Robert Hull (R-District 09) and Lino Avellani (R-District 05) have introduced and sponsored House Bill 279 (“HB 279”) in the General Court that would make changes to the New Hampshire Indoor Smoking Act .
