Press Release: Mombacho X Film

As part of their 10th Anniversary celebrations, Mombacho Cigars partnered with the international film director, Thomas Bowerbank, to create “Mombacho X”, a unique short documentary capturing the art of cigar making and the soul of Nicaragua through Mombacho’s vision.

This film captures the essence of Mombacho and our Nicaraguan experience and is a graceful reflection of our ten years in this beautiful country.” said Markus Raty, Co-Founder of Mombacho Cigars, who released the video on their Vimeo account, where it has already gotten hundreds of views since its premiere.

The film takes us through the masterful process of cigar production in an intimate way that allows the audience to experience the Mombacho culture firsthand.” said the talented Thomas Bowerbank, who has been traveling to Nicaragua yearly from the time when he learned about the cigar brand in his native Canada.

Claudio Sgroi, President & Master Blender of Mombacho Cigars, stars as host, taking viewers on a tour through Mombacho Moments along a magical journey from the tobacco plantations to their state-of-the-art factory, Casa Favilli in Granada, Nicaragua, where their premium cigars are made by hand by expert Nicaraguan rollers.

Towards the end of the video, there is a glimpse of the 10th Anniversary Mombacho Magnifico Cigar, ready for release for retail during the upcoming IPCPR convention and trade show in July, available in limited edition 10-count boxes in only one size, a 6 1⁄4 x 52 with a pigtail cap. Rolled by one of Casa Favilli’s most experienced rolling pairs, the complete production is being capped at 5000 cigars.
