The right for tax payers to light and enjoy tobacco is now a thing of the past in Glen Ellyn, Illinois thanks to a push by those who do not yet pay taxes.
The Glen Ellyn Park District Board of Commissioners voted to pass a ban outlawing the use of tobacco at the Park District properties.
The move was suggested on August 4 by students of the local high schools. The movement created Reality Illinois which was started by the high school students and quickly funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the DuPage County Health Department.
