Asylum Seven 11/18 Cigar Review

Cigar companies usually wait until their 10th Anniversary to celebrate with an anniversary release. But that wasn’t insane enough for Asylum, so they opted to celebrate their 7th anniversary with the release of Asylum Seven. A limited edition cigar that was limited to just 1,000 boxes of 20 in two sizes. 7 x 70 an infamous size that was taken to the mainstream by Tom Lazuka and 11/18 an iconic size made by Christina Eiroa […]

Cigar Review: CLE Prieto Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf Binder: Nicaragua Filler: Nicaragua Length: 7″ Ring Gauge: 52 Vitola: Diadema The Look: The box pressed Diadema comes in 10 count […]

Historically, Christian Eiroa crafted his cigars in Honduras using primarily Honduran leaf. But now, he has a Nicaraguan cigar with a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper on it. Sounds nice, right? This is the CLE Prieto. What am I Smoking? Cigar: CLE Prieto Robusto Wrapper: Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro Binder: Nicaragua Filler: Nicaragua Length: 5 Inches […]

Prieto by C.L.E. Corona Gorda Review

Yesterday we reviewed one of two new cigars that were introduced by C.L.E. at the 2016 TAA. Those cigars were Chele, which is slang for light-skinned and Prieto, which is Spanish slang for dark-skinned. The names provide an interesting take when applied to cigars with light and dark wrappers. Both cigars are made in Nicaragua which is a departure for Christian Eiroa who normally works his magic in Honduras. Cigar Review: C.L.E. Prieto Country of Origin: Nicaragua […]
