As a person going on his honeymoon in just a couple of weeks, this news couldn’t come at a better time. The laundry list of personal friends who want me to bring them back a Cuban cigar is longer than a shopping list for The Cigar Authority food budget. While I still might not bring them a cigar, it just got a lot easier for me and you to buy Cuban cigars and rum. Up […]

Review | Bandolero

Today’s review completes the trifecta of Selected Tobacco. Our first review was the Atabey (100 Rated) and the second review was Byron (98 Rated). In retrospect, I might flip those scores, as the fuller bodied Byron calls to me more often. Before I began working at Two Guys Smoke Shop, I never heard of these cigar, but they are available in selected retailers around the country. While most have not heard of Selected Tobacco, they […]

After the original line was shut down during the Cuban Revolution it was restarted in Esteli in 2012, where the factory and farms are run by Cubans utilizing many of the same methods as Habanos in their homeland. When I first took the ride up to Two Guys Smoke Shop in New Hampshire, upon meeting David Garofalo he gave me an Atabey to smoke. The cigar is made by Nelson Alfonso who is best known for his work on Cuban cigar brands, including the Behike. According to the Atabey website, […]
