From Drew Newman, General Counsel of J.C. Newman Cigar Co, It seems only fitting that the day after our country celebrated America’s independence a federal court has stepped in to help preserve the right of American adults to enjoy a fine, handcrafted cigar. We are extremely pleased that Judge Mehta has delayed the implementation of the FDA’s new massive cigar warning labels indefinitely until the courts have a chance to decide their constitutionality. Particularly in light […]

With Eric Newman coming on the show this weekend as a guest, I decided to look at a cigar that is exclusive to Diamond Crown Lounges, the Julius Caesar 1895 Perfecto. It’s one of my favorite sizes for a smoke and today we weigh in with our thoughts. According to the JC Newman website, “Diamond Crown Julius Caeser honors Julius Caeser (“J.C.”) Newman, a true cigar pioneer and founder of the J.C. Newman Cigar Company. […]
On Friday, June 8, 2018, Bobby Newman, executive vice president and third-generation owner of J.C. Newman Cigar Company, appeared on the Rush Limbaugh Show. Bobby described the devastating effect that FDA regulation is having on America’s historic premium cigar industry and his family’s 123-year-old cigar business to guest host Mark Steyn. He explained why premium cigars should be exempt from FDA regulation and urged the public to visit www.SaveCigarCity.com to submit comments to the FDA […]
This week, J.C. Newman Cigar Company began distributing 100,000 postcards to premium cigar retailers across the country as part of its “Save Cigar City” campaign. The postcards, which are pre-addressed to the FDA, allow Americans who enjoy fine cigars to submit comments urging that the FDA exempt premium cigars from regulation. The FDA’s deadline for public comment is June 25, 2018. “As the FDA reconsiders the regulation of premium cigars, we wanted make it easy […]

With its rich, fertile soil creating the most flavorful cigar tobacco in the world, Cuba was regarded then as the true Peal of the Sea. Today the cigar is made in Nicaragua and is part of the JC Newman portfolio. At the […]
Last year just before the August 8th FDA Deadline the company released a lot of cigars that we were hopeful would be showcased at the 2017 IPCPR in Las Vegas. The company however was showcasing the Julius Caeser Corona which will be exclusive to Diamond Crown Lounges. This past week our own David Garofalo had this cigar as one of the new releases he was looking forward to smoking the most. Here we caught up […]
Today, May 6th, 2017 would have been the 82nd birthday of Carlos Fuente Sr. and we celebrate the life of the cigar industry icon. In the first hour we light up a cigar that Carlos Fuente Sr. blended for his father with the 8-5-8 and we let you know the significance of those numbers. In the second hour we raid David Garofalo’s private stash, with a box that he received from Carlos Fuente Sr. 6 years […]
As you may know, August 8th of 2016 was the day FDA regulation against cigars took effect. So on August 7th, 2016, Eric Newman of J.C. Newman Cigar Company made a stop at Two Guys Smoke Shop for the what was known as “The Last Supper”. During that event, Mr. Newman handed out a cigar that was made just for him. It was a rendition of the original Diamond Crown in a perfecto shape. I […]
