It was founded by Jacques Wintermans and the company became one of the largest cigar compinies in Europe. Once distributed by Drew Estate, the company announced this week it was taking over it’s own distribution in a press release earlier this week. Tatuaje Skinny Monsters The Frank Lancero Cigar Review

Tatuaje Monsters are highly collectible when released every October and the debate is long as to which was the best blend. For me, that was the first ever release Monster, The Frank. It’s something I wish I still had in my humidor, but I won’t pay the rediculous black market price for them. I’ve seen them sell for over $1,000 a box. While different in terms of vitola, I am ecstatic that the cigars are […]

Unicorn: The Atabey Lancero – Cigar Review

A few weeks ago, I saw our good friend Oliver post a photo on his Instagram (@HavanaDaydreamin) of a cigar I was familiar with, but had never seen. Showcased in the image was an Atabey in a lancero size, another beautiful piece of artwork by Nelson Alfonso. I had to have it for this review. So luckily, I was able to get my hands on one so I could share my thoughts with you. This […]

Soon after they went their separate ways, Phil created a new brand called Debonaire Cigars & Rum. They are also the manufacturer for Indian Motorcycle cigars, which debuted at last years IPCPR show. Recluse Amadeus Habano Lancero Cigar Review

This past father’s day weekend we were lucky enough to be joined on the podcast by Scott Weeks & his dad, and J.R. Dominguez along with his father. It was that weekend I got to try the Recluse Amadeus Habano Lancero for the first time. It was a pre-release and generally I do not like to review cigars that aren’t yet official. Well that time has come as the cigar arrived this past week and […]

La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Lancero Cigar Review

I’ve lived in a few different cigar markets plus I’ve visited many others and one thing seemed to be constant. Lancero cigars sell slower than any other size on the market place. However, if you look at social media it is one of the most popular sizes among cigar geeks like me. A few months ago when La Flor Dominicana announced they were releasing Los Lanceros; a 5-pack of Lancero cigars I personally was intrigued. Cigar […]

The filler and binder are Nicaraguan with the ligero Esteli clearly given the full impact in the flavor typical of the Neya F8 line. Roberto Pelayo Duran, owner […]

Yesterday, I got to sit down with Scott Weeks of Recluse Cigars who is in town with his father Nick Weeks for a Father/Son dinner hosted by Two Guys Smoke Shop. Also attending will be Scott Weeks’ partner JR Dominguez and his father Jose Dominguez. All four will be on The Cigar Authority this weekend and it is rumored that doughnuts will be the desert at the dinner, but I may of just made that […]
