The Tobacco 21 A558 bill which passed the Assembly by a vote of 120-26 headed over to the Senate where it passed in similar fashion. Utah Governor Signs Tobacco 21 Legislation

Utah Republican Governor, Gary Herbert has signed into law House Bill 324 which will gradually raise the tobacco purchase age from 19 to 20 in 2020 and then to 21 in 2021. Each change in the smoking age will occur on July 1st.
