New York Legislature Sends Tobacco 21 Bill To Governor

You can pretty much add another state to raise the tobacco purchase to 21 years old. The Tobacco 21 A558  bill which passed the Assembly by a vote of 120-26 headed over to the Senate where it passed in similar fashion.  At 4:11 PM after numerous statements by legislatures, S2833 was passed by a vote of 52-8. New York Governor To Propose Tobacco Purchase Age Increse To 21

The 56th Governor of New York State, Democrat Andrew Cuomo is expected to submit his 2019 Executive Budget on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019. In the budget is language that will seek to raise the minimum sales age for tobacco products, including cigars to 21.
