United Cigar Brings Back Limited Edition Cigar Bar

After almost a decade, United Cigar has brought back the Limited-Edition Cigar Bar from its past. Plans are to make this an annual release as part of United Cigars Series Unidas collection. The Cigar Bar was first introduced in 2012 but was immediately tabled after receiving a cease and desist from the Hershey Corporation due to a packaging dispute with one of their more popular chocolate bars. Although the United Cigar Bar was not chocolate but rather a take on nostalgia; the project only saw a limited amount of shelf time. This will be the first of several limited releases planned for the United Cigar Bar series, with an annual Fall release.

The idea of the United Cigar Bar is to create a unique box-pressed cigar, sold in 3 pack bars. The concept is to work with existing brands whose vitolas are in the round and have it box-pressed for the project. For 2021  United Cigars asked Julio R. Eiroa and his son Justo for their prized possession: the Aladino Corojo. The Aladino, blended with 100% authentic Corojo tobacco grown at the JRE farm in the Jamastran Valley of Honduras, held up under the new format and came out with a different life.

I was pleasantly surprised,” said Justo Eiroa of JRE. “This was a great experiment and it turned out better than I had imagined, I know Aladino fans will love it.

Aladino was an obvious first choice for us,” said Director of Operation for United Cigars, Oliver Nivaud. “JRE makes some amazing cigars and we wanted to see what the Aladino would be like as a box-press.

United Cigar Bars begin shipping to retailers in October as part of a planned annual limited release.  Cigar enthusiasts can find United Cigar Bars where United Cigars are sold, as part of the Series Unidas from United Cigars. United retailers can expect to receive their allotment in plenty of time for Halloween, an adult treat that you don’t eat.

United Cigar began as a US based cigar store chain in 1901 growing to nearly 3,000 shops. United Cigar eventually became part of the corporation that bought Marvel Comics in 1968. The United Cigar chain
represented the interests of the Consolidated Tobacco Company; the tobacco trust that controlled the American Tobacco Company.

Today United Cigars distributes and manufactures premium cigars within the United States. Distribution agreements with Selected Tobacco (Atabey, Byron & Bandolero) as well as Jose Dominguez cigars. United
Cigars has its own brands including the quick-selling bundle line Classic, La Gianna Havana, and our flagship brand United to name a few.

United Cigar Series Unidas, a collaboration with respected manufactures, provides premium cigar retailers with Limited Release productions.
