United Cigars and their distribution partner Selected Tobacco are thrilled to showcase their portfolios of brands inside the Sands Convention Center at Booth 3099 and Booth 4097. This year, there’s an ace up their sleeves with a slew of new releases, limited editions, and size extensions that retailers will be going all in on. United Cigars is unveiling 4 new sizes of Red Anchor, and the Black Bomb Firecracker. Selected Tobacco is releasing Alfonso Gran Selección, Atabey Black Ritos, the limited edition 10-Year Extra Aged Atabey Dioses, and the Atabey Limited Edition Humidor. United Cigars is featuring two new additions to the portfolio at this year’s PCA trade show. Red Anchor which was an instant sellout when it came ashore last summer, will be expanding with four new sizes available for purchase. The new sizes being released at PCA 2023 are Gunner 6.5 x 43 , Captain 5 x 50, Commodore 7 x 55 , and an event only size Cooper 4.5 x 43. These four new sizes join the Admiral 6 x 52 which was launched at PCA 2022 and immediately sold out.
Lighting up the skies above the new Red Anchor fleet will be the Black Bomb Firecracker, now available in 25ct boxes with an enhanced blend.The traditional United Firecracker Americana color scheme has been replaced with a striking black and gold finish, that acts as either a warning or welcoming sign for those consumers bold enough to ignite the Black Bomb Firecracker.
Selected Tobacco is showcasing four new exciting products that are perfect additions to humidors across America. The Alfonso Gran Selección is the sequel to the highly rated Alfonso Añejo that debuted at last year’s PCA show to much fanfare. Alfonso Gran Selección features an oily, rich Ecuadorian Habano wrapper cloaked over Dominican and Nicarguan fillers that provide a darker flavor profile than its predecessor. Just as was done on the Byron 1850 and Alfonso Añejo, the Alfonso Gran Selección has been aged in French oak for 5 years.
Not to be outdone by its sister brand, the Atabey line will be expanding with the introduction of the limited edition 10-Year, Extra Aged Atabey Dioses, Atabey Black Ritos, and Atabey Limited Edition Humidor.
Today, the Atabey line is aged for five years in multi-cedar lined humidors, where humidity is reduced and raised to help the cigars breathe in the different cedar notes and cleanse itself in Nelson’s version of a spiritual ceremony. But what happens when the 5 year aged Atabey Dioses cigars are aged for twice as long? That was what Nelson Alfonso wanted to know, and he now has his answer. At this year’s trade show, Nelson will make available the limited edition 10-Year, Extra Aged Atabey Dioses for the first time.
Also, Nelson is introducing the Atabey Limited Edition Humidor. Each luxury humidor with gold trim and black gloss finish contains sixty Atabey cigars, five of each size in the portfolio. The sizes included are Hechizos 4 x 40, Divinos 4 2/5 x 50, Idolos 4 x 55, Brujos 5 x 52, Sabios 5 1/4 x 52, Delirios 5 3/4 x 55, Duendes 6 1/8 x 54 (Torpedo), Spiritus 7 x 40, Ritos 6 1/8 x 55, Misticos 6 3/4 x 56, Dioses 8 x 50, and Benditos 7 1/4 x 58.
Finally, the Atabey Black Ritos is going from virtual to smokeable this summer. Launched as an NFT in 2021, Atabey Black Ritos was the first NFT cigar in the world, limited to 25 single cigar and 10 boxes as unique digital images. The Atabey Black Ritos will be featured at PCA 2023 with a scheduled ship time to retailers in December 2023. The glaring difference between the original Atabey & the new Atabey Black is its rich Ecuadorian maduro wrapper, cloaked over the tobaccos that Atabey fans have come to love.
